A livestock trailer with a brown cocker spaniel inside was stolen overnight from a farm in Droxford. Here is what to look for and how to report it.

Police are asking for help to find a pet dog that was inside a livestock trailer when it was stolen from a farm in Droxford. Droxford is about ten miles south-east of Winchester.

The trailer was taken from a farm on Stoke Wood Lane between 9pm on Tuesday 6 October and 4am on Wednesday 7 October. Inside it was Lolly, a seven-year-old brown cocker spaniel.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary published the appeal on Thursday afternoon, with a photograph of Lolly. (Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, 8 October 2026)

What to look out for

The force has given these details:

  • The dog: Lolly, a seven-year-old cocker spaniel with a brown coat
  • The trailer: an Ifor Williams TA510 livestock trailer
  • The registration: a plate ending in PPK
  • When: between 9pm on 6 October and 4am on 7 October
  • Where: a farm on Stoke Wood Lane, Droxford

The police have not said whether anyone has been arrested, and they have not described a vehicle used to tow the trailer away.

How to help

If you have seen Lolly, or know anything about the trailer, call 101 and quote reference 44260491449. In an emergency, always call 999.

People who were driving on the roads around Droxford overnight on 6 to 7 October may have useful dashcam footage. The same goes for anyone with a doorbell or farm camera covering a road out of the village. If you are offered a TA510 trailer with a plate ending in PPK, or a brown cocker spaniel that matches Lolly, report it on the same number.

What it means for you

This is an active appeal, and sharing it is the most useful thing most readers can do. The best chance of finding Lolly is someone recognising her from the photograph.

Our Droxford business directory lists the village’s pubs, shop and café, all places where an appeal poster is seen by people who know the area.

We will update this story if the police report that Lolly has been found.
